വടകര: ജന്മിത്വത്തിനെതിരെയുള്ള പോരാട്ടങ്ങളിൽ കടത്തനാട്ടിൽ നടന്ന ആദ്യ പോരാട്ടങ്ങളിലൊന്നായിരുന്നു കുരിക്കിലാട് പുത്തൻ തെരുവിലിലേതെന്ന് ചരിത്രകാരൻ പി.ഹരിന്ദ്രനാഥ്.

ഒരു നാട്ടിലെ പട്ടിണി മാറ്റി വന്ന വരിക്കപ്പിലാവ് അമ്പലം പണിയാനായി മുറിച്ചുമാറ്റാനുള്ള ജന്മിയുടെ തീരുമാനത്തിനെതിരെ വിരൽ ചൂണ്ടിയാണ് അവർ മുന്നേ നടന്നതെന്ന് അദ്ദേഹം ചൂണ്ടിക്കാട്ടി.

യുവകവി അഖിൽരാജ് വടകരക്ക് ആദ്യപ്രതി കൈമാറി പുത്തൻ തെരു രാധാകൃഷ്ണൻ രചിച്ച 'പുത്തൻ തെരുവും കിങ്ങിണി മുണ്ടയും 'എന്ന ചരിത്രഗ്രന്ഥം പ്രകാശനം ചെയ്തു സംസാരിക്കുവായിരുന്നു അദ്ദേഹം.

ചടങ്ങ് നഗരസഭാംഗം കെ സുനിൽകുമാർ ഉദ്ഘാടനം ചെയ്തു. ഡോ. ചെറുവാച്ചേരി രാധാകൃഷ്ണൻ,ഹരീന്ദ്രൻ കരിമ്പനപാലം,കെ. പി ഭാസ്കരൻ, ഗിരീഷ് കുന്നോത്ത് ഓ.സിന്ധു രാജൻ,ടി. പി ഗിരീഷ്ബാബു, പുത്തൻ തെരു രാധാകൃഷ്ണൻ എന്നിവർ സംസാരിച്ചു.
